Checking the Browser and Plugin Settings for the JRE

Step 1

Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options.

Click Tools Menu and Select Internet Options

Click on the Advanced tab.

Scroll down to the Java (Sun) heading in the list. Make sure that the box next to Use JRE 1.5.0_07 is checked.

Step 1

Select Control Panel from the Start Menu.

Click on Control Panel from the Start Menu.

Step 2

In the upper-left of the Control Panel window, click on Switch to Classic View.

Click on Switch to Classic View

Double click on Java.

Double Click on Java.

Step 4

Click on the Update tab.

Click the Update Tab

Step 5

Uncheck the box in front of Check for Updates Automatically. Then, click OK.

Uncheck Automatic Updates and Click OK
