Blazeview / WebCT Tutorial on Having the Choice of Whether to Open, Save, or Cancel the File being Downloaded
If you would like the option of choosing whether or not Word, PowerPoint, or other files just open instead of providing you the ability to choose the action, then these instructions should help provide you a choice.

Step 1

Click "Start".

Click "My Computer".

Click "Tools" in the My Computer dialog box.

In the drop down menu, click "Folder Options".

The following dialog box should appear.

Click the "File Types" tab in the Folder Options dialog box.

Step 7

In the list of extensions, select the extension you wish to edit. *For the purpose of this tutorial, we will use ZIP as an example.

Once you have selected the file extension, click "Advanced".

"Confirm after download should" be checked and then you should click "OK". You will want to do this for every extension that you might try and download.
