Backing up Your Personal Folders in Microsoft Outlook
Note: This software is designed for use with Outlook 2007, Outlook 2003, and Outlook 2002 only. We DO NOT recommend that you use this software if you have another version of Microsoft Outlook.
Step 1:
Close Microsoft Outlook. Then, go to Microsoft's download site. Finally, click on the Continue button.

Step 2:
If you receive a yelliow security bar across the top of your browser, right-click on it. A pop-up menu will appear. Click Install ActiveX Control.

Step 3:
If you receive a security warning, click the Install button.
Step 4:
Click the Download button that appears on the download site.

Step 5:
If you receive a security warning, click the Run button.
Step 6:
If you receive another security warning, click the Run button.
Step 7:
The installation wizard for Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup tool will appear. Click the Next button.
Step 8:
Read through the license agreement. When you are done and agree to the license, check the radio button in front of I accept the License Agreement. Then, click the Next button.
Step 9:
Click the Next button.
Step 10:
Click the Finish button.
Step 11:
Launch Microsoft Outlook. Then, click the File menu. Finally, click Backup.

Step 12:
The Outlook Personal Folder Backup window will appear. Click the Options button.
Step 13:
In the Remind me to backup every __ days field, enter the interval you like for your Outlook Personal Folders to be backed up. In the File location blank, select the location where you wish to have the backup saved. Finally, click the OK button.
Note: We recommend that you backup your personal folders to a location where you will be able to easily find them.
Step 14:
Click the Save Backup button.
Step 15:
A backup prompt will appear. Click the OK button and then close Microsoft Outlook.
Step 16:
After you have closed Outlook, go to the location you specified in Step 13. Your backup copy should be a file called Outlook backup.pst.
Congratulations!
You have successfully backed up your Outlook Personal Folders!
