Community Clips

Step 1:

Go to the Microsoft Community Clips website here. Then, click on the the Download Now! button on the Microsoft Labs website.

Step 2:

If you receive a security warning, click the Save button.

Click Save

 

Step 3:

Choose the location where you wish to save the file and click the Save button.

Choose a Location and Click Save

 

Step 4:

If you receive a download complete prompt appears, click the Close button.

Click Close

 

Step 5:

If you receive a security warning, click the Run button.

Click Run

 

Step 6:

Double-click the Community Clips icon on your desktop. The installation wizard should open. Continue to click the Next until you come to the Finish button. Click Finish.

Step 7:

Click the Next button.

Step 8:

Click the radio button in front of I Agree. Then, click the Next button.

Step 9:

Click the Next button.

Choose a Location

 

Step 10:

Mark the checkbox if you wish to participte in the survey. Otherwise, leave it unchecked. Click the Next button.

Step 11:

Click the Next button.

Choose to Autoupdate

 

Step 12:

Click the Next button.

Click Next

 

Step 13:

Once installation is complete, click on the Community Clips icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Step 14:

A menu will appear. To start recording, click on the Start Recording option. Community Clips will now begin recording.

Step 15:

Wait for the warning to appear. Click the OK button.

Note: If you checked the box in front of Do not show this dialog again the last time this message appeared, it will not appear again.

The Community Clips icon in the lower-right corner will have a red recording dot over it if you have correctly completed the above instructions.

Step 16:

Once you have finished recording, click on the Community Clips icon. This action will re-open the main menu. Click Stop Recording.

Step 17:

The application will now launch a video play-back of the footage you just recorded. If you are satisfied with the recording. Click on the Save button in the upper-left corner of the screen. Then, proceed to Step 6. If you wish to re-record, click the red X in the upper-right corner and repeat Steps 2 through 4.

Step 18:

After you click the Save button, you will be asked where you would like to save your video. Select a location on your computer. Then click the Save button in the lower-right corner of the window.

Congratulations!

You have successfully setup and created a recording with Community Clips!
