Suspending the Virtual Machine
If you are in the middle of working on something in the Windows virtual machine and need to leave your computer, you can suspend the virtual machine. By doing so, you can start at the exact point you left off when you return to your computer.
Note: However, while this process ensures that no unsaved changes are lost, it uses a fairly large amount of hard drive space, and thus, is not recommended as an alternative to shutting down the virtual machine after you are finished using it.
Step 1:
To suspend the virtual machine, click on the Suspend button in the upper left hand corner.
Step 2:
Alternatively, you can click the Virtual Machine menu on the top toolbar and then click Suspend.
