Navigating the imac

Power Button:
The power button is located on the back left hand side of the monitor.
USB Ports:
The USB ports are located on the back right hand side of the monitor.
Headphone Jack:
The headphone jack is also located on the back right hand side of the monitor.
CD/DVD Drive:
The CD/DVD drive slot is located on the top of the right hand side of the monitor.

Volume Buttons:
The volume buttons are located on the upper right hand corner of the keyboard.
CD Eject Button:
The CD Eject button is located on the very upper right hand corner of the keyboard.
- Finder - The iMac's file browser
- Dashboard - Gives you access to the widgets.
- Safari - The iMacs default web browser.
- Mozilla Firefox - Another web browser.
- iTunes - A media player, used mainly to play audio files.
- QuickTime Player - A media player, used mainly to play video files.
- Microsoft Word - Microsofts Office word processor.
- Microsoft PowerPoint - Microsofts Office presentation program.
- Microsoft Excel - Microsofts Office spreadsheet program.
- Trash Can - Where deleted files go before they are permanently deleted
- Jump Drive or Other Device - Desktop icon to access your jump drive. This icon only appears when you have a jump drive or other device inserted.
- Macintosh HD - The main hard drive of the iMac.
- Apple Button - Used to shut down or restart the computer.
