Adding and Removing Shortcuts from the Dock

Step 1

Click on the Finder icon in the dock.

In the Finder section, click on Applications in the menu. This will pull up a list of all applications on your computer.

Once the list is generated, locate the application you would like to add to the Dock.

Step 4

Click on the application and drag the application icon from the Finder window to the Dock. Remember to continue holding down the left-click button on the mouse as you drag.

Once at the Dock, find an area where you would like to place the application icon. Then release the left-click button.

Your application is now able to be accessed from the Dock via a shortcut.

Step 7

To Remove an Application, locate the application's icon in the Dock. Right-click on the icon.

Click on Remove from Dock. This will remove the application shortcut from the Dock. However, you can still find the application by searching your Applcations folder.
