How to Import Internet Explorer Favorites into Netscape 7.1

Step One

Click on the File menu in Internet Explorer and select the Import/Export menu option.

Step Two

In the Import/Export Wizard window that opens, click on the Next button.

Step Three

Select Export Favorites in the Choos an action to perform list.

Click the Next button.

Step Four

In the next window make sure that you select Favorites in the folder list.

Click the Next button.

Step Five

In the window labeled Export Favorites Destination, click the Next button.

Step Six

When the Completing the Import/Export Wizard appears, click on the Finish button.

Step Seven

Click on the Bookmarks menu in Netscape, and select the Manage Bookmarks option.

Step Eight

In the Bookmark Manager window that appears, click on the Tools menu and select the Import... option.

Step Nine

In the Import bookmark file dialog box, click on the My Documents icon on the left side on the window.

Select the file entitled bookmark.htm in the file list.

Click the Open button in the dialog box.

Step Ten

When the Import bookmark file dialog box disappears, you should see you newly imported Internet Explorer favorites listed in the Bookmark Manager window. You can now sort these as you feel appropriate.
