Downgrading Internet Explorer 8 or Above to Internet Explorer 7 (XP)

Step 1:

Click the Start button on the left hand side of the taskbar. Then, click Control Panel.

Click Start then Control Panel

 

Step 2:

Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

Double-click Add or Remove Programs

 

Step 3:

Locate and click the Windows Internet Explorer 8 entry. Then, click the Remove button.

Click Windows Internet Explorer 8 then Remove

 

Step 4:

The Windows Internet Explorer 8 Removal Wizard window will appear. Click the Next button.

Click Next

 

Step 5:

If a prompt appears displaying programs installed after Internet Explorer 8, click the Yes button.

Click Yes

 

Step 6:

The removal wizard will confirm the successful uninstallation and prompt you to restart your computer. The Do not restart now checkbox should be unchecked. If not, click the checkbox to deselect the option. Click the Finish button.

Click Finish

Congratulations!

You have successfully downgraded to Internet Explorer 7!
