Setting up your VSU E-mail on a Blackberry

Step 1:

Go to the Blackberry Internet Service website provided by your cellular phone carrier. Click the Create New Account button.

Note: If you not know the website for your cellular phone carrier, Blackberry has a list available on their website.

Step 2:

Check the checkbox in front of I have read and understand the Legal Terms and Conditions. Then, click the I Agree button.

Step 3:

For the next step you will need your Blackberry's PIN and IMEI numbers.

You can locate this information on your Blackberry device.

In order to do so, click the Options button.

Then, click the Status link.

Here you will find the PIN and IMEI numbers.

Note: For the purposes of this screenshot, this information has been removed. However, you should actually see information listed on your Blackberry device.

Step 6:

Input the PIN number into the Device PIN field.

Then, input the IMEI number into the Device IMEI field.

Finally, click the Continue button.

Step 7:

In the User name field, create a username for your Blackberry Internet Service account.

In the Password and Confirm password fields, create a password for your Blackberry Internet Service account.

Finally, click the Next button.

Note: Bear in mind that this username and password do not need to be the same as your Blazenet account. However, you will want to make sure to keep track of this information if you need to modify your mail service at a later time.

Step 8:

Enter your full VSU e-mail address in the E-mail address field.

Then, enter your Blazenet password into both the Password field and the Confirm password fields.

Finally, click the Next button.

Step 9:

Click the pencil icon in the Edit column to the right of your VSU E-mail account.

Click Edit

Step 10:

Click the Advanced Settings link.

Step 11:

Enter imap.valdosta.edu into the Email server field and click the Save button.

Congratulations!

You have successfully configured your Blackberry to check your VSU e-mail account.
