Checking Your E-mail QUota

The e-mail quota is a limit on the total amount of e-mail that can be stored in your Blazenet account. If someone were to send you an e-mail that would put you above your quota, you would not receive the e-mail. Instead, the sender would receive a message from our e-mail system informing them that the e-mail address they are attempting to contact has exceeded its e-mail quota.

To prevent this from occurring, it is important to occasionally verify that your e-mail quota has not been met. Bear in mind that if someone were to send you a large attachment, it would fill up your quota significantly faster than if someone were to send you an e-mail without attachments. Thus, we recommend that you begin the process of deleting unwanted e-mails when your storage space usage is 80% or higher.

You can verify how much of your e-mail quota has been used by proceeding with the following steps:

Step 1:

You must be successfully logged into Blazenet to complete these steps. If you have not already done so, please follow the steps in our Logging Into Blazenet guide.

Note: If you do not know what your BlazeNet username is, please read the Finding Your BlazeNet Username and Password guide.

Step 2:

Click the E-mail button on the top right corner.

Note: The next window will appear in a pop-up. Make sure that you have pop-up blockers turned off. If you security settings are set at a high level, a yellow security bar at the top of the window. A menu will appear. Click to allow the pop-up.

Click E-mail

Step 3:

In the gray area at the top right corner of the e-mail list, your storage space usage will be displayed. If the system shows that you have 80% usage or higher, please begin the process of deleting unwanted messages.

Review Your Quota

Congratulations! You have successfully checked your e-mail quota.
