Downloading Attachments with
Windows XP Service Pack 2

With the advent of Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, Microsoft has implemented several security enhancments to ensure that you do not unintenionally install or download malicious files on your computer.

This mechanism can cause some confusion when attempting to download attachments in BlazeNet. This guide is designed to help you with the new process to download attachments.

Step 1

Notice that when you click on the attachment, the pop-up window has a yellow bar at the top of the window.

Step 2

Right-click on the yellow information bar.

Step 3

Select Download File from the context menu that appears.

Step 4

In the dialog box that appears click the Save button.

Step 8

In the Save As dialog that appears, select the desired location and click the Save button. Your attachment will have now been downloaded to your computer.
