Manually Running Officescan
Trend Micro OfficeScan is an enterprise-level anti-virus utility available on all computers owned by Valdosta State University. This package is not available through Valdosta State University for use on computers that are not owned by the university.
Trend Micro OfficeScan will automatically scan your computer during scheduled intervals as well as scanning new files as they are downloaded or copied to your computer. However, there may be cases in which you would like to initiate a scan on your own, such as when you are plugging a jump drive into your computer. You can do so using the steps listed below:
Step 1:
Click the Start button. Then, click All Programs.
Step 2:
Click theTrend Micro OfficeScan Client folder. Then, click Officescan Client from the pop-up menu that appears.
Step 3:
Check the checkbox in front of each hard drive or device you wish to scan. Then, click the Scan button.

Step 4:
Please be patient as the scan may take some time. When the scan completes, the scan results will be displayed. OfficeScan will automatically attempt to remove any infections it finds.
Note: If infections appear that OfficeScan cannot remove, please submit our online technical assistance request form. Please included in the Security Risk column of the scan results.
