Installing ClamXav
Step 1:
Click the link for ClamXav on our downloads page. After the download completes, the ClamXav Installer window will open. Make sure to leave this window open.
Step 2:
Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on your desktop.
Step 3:
Double-click the Applications folder.
Step 4:
Click on the ClamXav icon in the ClamXav Installer. While holding down the mouse button, drag the icon to the Applications folder. Then, release the mouse button.
Step 5:
Once the ClamXav icon appears in the Applications folder, click on it. Then, while holding down the mouse button, drag the icon to the left side of the separator in the dock at the bottom of the screen. Finally, release the mouse button.
Step 6:
Click the ClamXav icon in the dock.
Step 7:
If you receive a security message, click the Open button.
Step 8:
Click the Install button.
Step 9:
Click the Continue button.
Step 10:
Click the Continue button on the next screen.
Step 11:
Click the Agree button.
Step 12:
Click the Macintosh HD icon.
Then, click the Continue button.
Step 13:
Click the Install button.
Step 14:
Enter your computer name and password in the appropriate fields. Then, click the OK button.
Note: These are the same name and password you use to log onto the computer when you turn it on.
Step 15:
Click the Finish button.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed ClamXav.
