Windows Defender Update Guide
Step 1:
Start Windows Defender by clicking on Start, then click Programs, and then click Windows Defender.
Step 2:
When Windows Defender opens click on the down arrow next to the question mark icon. Then click Check for Updates.
Step 3:
Windows Defender will begin to check for updates. You should notice in the lower right hand corner taskbar an alert box will pop-up saying Windows Defender is checking for updates.
Windows Defender will check for updates and install them. This can take a while so please be patient. When Windows Defender is done another alert box will pop-up saying that Windows Defender is up-to-date with definitions and engine updates.
