Step 1:
Note: Please do not install AVG Free Edition on computers that are owned by Valdosta State University, as Information Technology centrally manages the anti-virus software and systems that protect all institutional equipment.
Download AVG Free Edition from our downloads page.
Note: If you are running Windows Vista, you must be logged in as the computer administrator to perform these steps.
Step 2:
If you receive a security warning, click the Run button.
Step 3:
The installation process will begin. When prompted, click the Next button.
Step 4:
Click the Accept button.
Step 5:
After you have read the license agreement, click the Accept button.
Step 6:
Click the radio button in front of Standard Installation. Then, click the Next button.
Step 7:
Click the Next button.
Step 8:
Uncheck the Install the AVG Security Toolbar (recommended). Then, click the Next button.
Step 9:
Click the Finish button.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0.
