Anti-Virus and Spyware
Viruses and Spyware are the most common problem with Operating Systems and Software today. This section covers tutorials on how to operate, update, and scan with the most common Anti-Virus and Spyware software used by the VSU IT department

Banner
Tutorials that will help you through the Banner system. Examples: Unofficial transcript lookup, registering for classes, and finding your BlazeNet email.

BlazeNet
BlazeNet has many features to help organize and send email.  The tutorials located in this section walk you though each of these features.

Calendaring
Tutorials that will help you with the various calendaring solutions available at VSU.

Campus Lab Printing Solution
These tutorials will walk you through the use of lab multi-function printers.

Email Clients
Local email clients can be used to retrieve and send BlazeNet mail.  The tutorials located in this section will help you set-up and use your local email client.  Clients supported include Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Hallnet
Hallnet is Valdosta State University's on-campus wireless network. The guides in this section are designed to assist users in initially configuring their computers to connect to this network and troubleshooting steps in the case that they are unable to connect.

Internet Web Browsers
Need help surfing the Web, setting up your Web Browser, or turning off pop-up blockers. The information can be found on the tutorials in this section.

IronPort (Anti-Spam)
IronPort is a anti-spam email gateway appliance that runs in front of the VSU email servers. All incoming and outgoing email messages pass through this gateway.

Jive
Jive is Valdosta State University's instant messanger service. The guides in this section will assist you in the installation and configuration of this software.

Lighthouse (Mailing LIsts)
Lighthouse is the campus mailing list system. By subscribing to mailing lists, you can ensure that you receive up-to-date information on campus organizations you are a member of.

Mac OS
Tutorials on setting up commonly used options in Mac OS. Examples: system updates, installing and un-installing software, and basic operating system and navigation use.

Microsoft Office 2007
Tutorials for the navigation of Microsoft Office 2007 and the use of its features.

VSU Personal Web Space Set-up
This page is designed to help beginners in basic Web page building while providing links for further instruction. Among the topics covered are obtaining Web space, using HTML and Web editors, using an FTP client, and other ways of improving your Web page.

WebCT Vista
WebCT is an online educational environment, better known as a course management system. Simply put, it is a web-based application used to make and host course web sites. Tutorials on setting up and using WebCT Vista can be found here.
