WebCT Vista Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ contains answers to e-mail and BlazeNet questions at Valdosta State University.

  • What is / how do I find my WebCT Username and Password?

Your WebCT Vista account username and password automatically synchronizes to Blazenet, your VSU E-mail account. Thus, you should use the same username and password that you use to log into Blazenet to log into WebCT Vista. To find your BlazeNet username and password follow the tutorial on this page.

Please note that E-core and Georgia on my Line students are exceptions to this policy, as rather than logging into Valdosta State University's WebCT Vista system, they instead log into the University System of Georgia WebCT Vista system. You can find them on the login box of the login box on the Valdosta State University WebCT Vista login page.

  • What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

You will need to contact the VSU IT Helpdesk to get your password reset. There are three ways to contact the IT Helpdesk:
1.) Visit the IT Helpdesk in Odum Library.
2.) Submit the Password reset form.
3.) E-mail the IT Helpdesk with your full name according to VSU, your date of birth, your VSU Student ID #, and your VSU login name.

  • How do I change my e-mail password?

You can change your password from within BlazeNet. To change your BlazeNet password follow the tutorial on this page. Once you have changed your Blazenet password, WebCT will automatically and immediately synchronize the new password you created.

  • What should I do prior to using WebCT Vista for the first time?

Prior to attempting to access WebCT Vista for the first time, we recommend that you follow our Preparing your computer for WebCT access tutorails. This will help you prevent a number of technical issues that may arise if your computer is not configured properly or is running conflicting software.
