Sun/One Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ contains answers to synchronizing calendars using the Sun/One Interface Program.
Note: It is essential that all users synchronizing to a calendar synchronize before and after any changes are made. As a general rule, as soon as you open Outlook, ensure that you've synchronized. If any changes have been made to the calendar by another user, you should now see these changes. After that's done, you can now begin making changes to the calendar as well, but be sure to synchronize. Doing so will allow other users to see your changes.
- A popup comes up asking me if I want to "Replace Sun one records with Outlook records", "Replace Outlook records with Sun one records", or "Combine Sun one records with Outlook records".
Reason: There is a conflict of data. Someone may have forgotten to synchronize before changes and after changes.
Resolution: Choose to replace Outlook records with Sun One records if possible.
Reason: The other user may not have synchronized yet. In other words, the appointments stored in their Outlook have not been saved onto the server because a synchronization has yet to occur on their computer.
Resolution: Perform a synchronization on their computer then perform a synchronization on yours to see if the events appear.
Reason: You may not have synchronized after the changes you've made.
Resolution: Be sure that you're synchronizing right as you first look at your calendar, then also after any changes that you make .
