Valdosta State University Information TechnologY Disinfection Training Seminar
The Valdosta State University Information Technology Helpdesk offers a Disinfection Training Seminar to students, faculty, and staff members. This is an educational service intended to provide training in the maintenance and protection, as well as the removal of malware, from the user's personal computer. In order to register for this course, you must first complete a brief online tutorial to ensure you have the background necessary for the seminar.
To do so, download the Helpdesk Disinfection Seminiar PowerPoint. After reading through the PowerPoint, please contact the Helpdesk to schedule a seminar. You will need to bring your computer to the seminar. When you arrive, please be prepared to take a background knowledge evaluation quiz based on the material from the PowerPoint. When you complete the quiz, a Helpdesk Disinfection Agent will provide you with one-on-one instruction on the installation and use of basic malware removal tools on your computer.
