The Department of Curriculum, Leadership, and Technology at Valdosta State University provides a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership. The program allows the students the opportunity to develop as scholars and professionals through a blend of classroom learning and practical experiences, with the use of technology essential to the learner. The program blends the mission of the university, which possesses core characteristics of a regional university, within the University System of Georgia. Students immerse in the operations of academic affairs and student services in the higher education field. Faculty members maintain commitment in the areas of service and research for the sharing of knowledge, and provide leadership to students. Off-campus and distance learning programs exist to accommodate a greater number of students in the service area. Students experience learning that enhances the appreciation and knowledge of diversity in the classroom and workplace, including numerous hands-on experiences, such as internship opportunities.
