Master of Social Work Program- Advanced Standing

Graduation Requirements

  1. Students must complete an application for graduation one semester prior to their expected graduation date.
  2. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA). No grade below a “C” will be credited toward the degree.
  3. Advanced Standing students (those with a B.S.W. degree from an accredited institution) must complete 33 hours which include SOWK 6000 (2 hours) and SOWK 6100 (1 hour), for a total of 25 classroom hours with a “B” average or 3.00 or higher and 8 credit hours of practicum with a grade of “Satisfactory.”
  4. A portfolio is required as an exit examination.
