Instructional Technology – Online Program
The Instructional Technology (IT) Ed.S. degree allows students to obtain an advanced degree in the rapidly growing field of instructional technology. Valdosta State University's Department of Curriculum, Leadership, and Technology began offering an online Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology in Summer 2000. Applications for each cluster are accepted in Spring and Fall. Georgia media specialists, technology coordinators, and other educators and trainers with a Master's degree in any field are invited to apply. This degree upgrades Georgia Teaching, Service and Leadership certificates to the 6th year level.
The online program offers participants the opportunity to complete all coursework at a distance using the Internet and WebCT. Because the online learning system is available continuously, students access their courses at their convenience using any computer connected to the Internet by a web browser such as Netscape. Experiential learning and application of knowledge are vital components of each class.
