MASTER’S ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION TRACK:
MIDDLE GRADES AND SECONDARY EDUCATION
The Alternative Certification for Teachers (ACT) program is a track of the middle grades education and the secondary education master's programs and is available for individuals already having content degrees and who desire teacher certification. The emphasis for this track is on the development of pedagogical, management, and curricular knowledge and skills needed to become effective teachers.
The M.A.T. track is designed for full-time students resulting in M.A.T. and certification in 14 months.
