Introduction to Robots
To introduce the basics of robotics, each individual in the Technology Major was given a robot kit that they were assigned to put together and present to the class as homework. Students learned how to work with circuitboards, construct robotic assemblies, and then see how the robot worked in action.
The robot kits varied in type, size, and how they were controlled. Some bots were built to avoid obstacles, some had antennas, while others were remote controlled. Seeing all of the final products was interesting and fun to watch.
