What will you teach this year at GHP? Area of Focus?: Just war Theory, Inviolable Rights, and Social Justice in a Democracy

What activities / strategies are used to accomplish your instructional goals?: Group Deliberation of Ethical Principles, Individual Articulation of Rights

What will be your students culminating activity: Reaction paper identifying an inviolable right that all individuals possess

Most Annoying Thing?: I Ask a lot of questions

What will you teach this year at GHP? "I Exist Therefore I Am" Primary Research on the Day the Student Was Born". "The Conscience of Humanity/Reactive Attachment Disorder/Failure to Bond in the Formation of Serial Killers.

What will be your students' culminating activity: A display and oral presentation of their primary historical research.

How much do you like teaching GHP?:It is an awesome teaching experience.The students are smart and highley motivated to participate in the learning process.

If you were a GHP student today, what would you want to be your major?: Social Studies!

What is your favorite quote?: "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime."

What will you teach this year at GHP? "1968, the Whole World's Watching" and "Heresy 101: Early Christianity and the Fight for Orthodoxy"

What activities / strategies are used to accomplish your instructional goals?:Primary Research, videos, and discussion.

What will be your students culminating activity: A fiften minute presentation on the selected topic from 1968.

How much do you like teaching GHP?:

It is teacher heaven.

If you were a GHP student today, what would you want to be your major?: Well, duh! Social Studies is all.

What words or phrases do you overuse: "Far out! Uh, I mean, wake up!"

Area of Focus?:The human-environmental impact of dams. The impact of Colonization and Decolonization on the people and places of Africa.

What activities / strategies are used to accomplish your instructional goals?: research, discussion, video, and projects.

What will be your students culminating activity: Editorial in support or against the Three Gorges Dam in China. News report from Africa on a current Issue.

How much do you like teaching GHP?: On a scale of 1 to 10 - 12

If you were a GHP student today, what would you want to be your major?: What else is there? SocStuds forever - baby!

What words or phrases do you overuse: "Good Morning - Beautiful People!" and "Give me the meat and potatoes NOT the salad and dessert!"
