¡Bienvenidos!
Welcome! You will be a Fo Lang for six weeks in GHP (hey, if the Social Studies kids get to be called the "Soc Studs," why not the Foreign Language students the "Fo Langs?").
Spanish in GHP is an intense immersion experience into the Spanish language or literature. Four hours a day and six days a week for six weeks = 144 hours. This is equivalent to a mere year high school course. However, you will soon learn that the amount of knowledge you gain is not equivalent to a mere year course of Spanish in school.
Do not be surprised to find yourself as comfortable with the language as any native may. But remember, the fruitful result of fluency with the language will develop only if you apply yourself to the class. Apply yourself and participate; then not only will you be a Spanish guru, but you will also fall in love with the language (if you alread haven't).
There are only two rules:
- No English, always Spanish (¡Malo, malo, malo sos si
hablés inglés!)
Participate (¡Qué lindo sos si participés!)
