Ms. Stacy Byrd

Stacy Byrd is originally from North Carolina. There she attended North Carolina's form of GHP and majored in Social Studies. Ms. Byrd now resides in East Point. In her free time, which is very limited, she loves eating Indian food, bike riding, watching hockey, and traveling. She also loves her pets, which mostly are found at her school in her animal science lab.
For the past two years Ms. Stacy Byrd has spent her summers in Valdosta as the instructor of the Agriscience and Biotechnology students. When she is not teaching at GHP she is the Agriculture teacher at Eagle's Landing High School. She received her masters degree in Agricultural Education and Plant Pathology from the University of Georgia. Among Ms. Byrd's numerous awards and accomplishments she is most noted for being awarded the 1999 National Agriscience Teacher of the Year and in 2000 she received the Agriculture Education Program award. Ms. Byrd is mostly known for her hard work and dedication to her students and chapter. When asked her reason for teaching at GHP Ms. Byrd comments,"It is the perfect opportunity to work with great students."
