FAQ

As with anything new, there are always a great deal of questions generated. This section is dedicated to providing access to a quick response about some of the most common and/or challenging questions you may encounter during this transition. Again, this is simply a resource to provide information in a convenient forum, dedicated professionals are always available to assist you when the need arises.
Question Mark Icon I am seeing an Event Ticket Sales Deduction under the Myself Tab/Voluntary Deductions link. I do not currently have an event ticket deduction that I am taking. Why is this here?
When the conversion from PeopleSoft to ADP took place, history was also converted. If you ever had a deduction for Wild Adventure tickets, for example, that history carried over to ADP. Please check the YTD Deduction column. If the YTD equals the Deduction Goal, the deduction would be considered fulfilled and will not deduct from your current check.
Question Mark Icon I went to register but the system said I do not exist; what do I need to do?
Email sharedservices@valdosta.edu to let us know and please include the date you began working.
Question Mark Icon Is there more training for ADP scheduled?
Yes. Click here for the latest schedule of training events.
Question Mark Icon What are the current Parallel payroll cycles?
Cycle 1
  • Bi-Weekly - Saturday, June 27th to Friday, July 10th with check date of Friday, July 17th.
  • Monthly – Monday June 1st to Tuesday June 30th with check date of Tuesday, June 30th.
Cycle 2
  • Bi-Weekly – Saturday, July 11th to Friday, July 24th with check date of Friday, July 31st
  • Monthly – Wednesday July 1st to Friday July 31st with check date of Friday July 31st.
Question Mark Icon What do I do when I get a "Missing Theme" error?
Click here to view the steps that can be used to remedy this error.
Question Mark Icon Do I need to continue using my timesheet once I have registered in the ADP system?
Yes. This phase is a parallel testing period, not a live phase. Your paycheck is still being generated based on the current method of time reporting. Both methods need to be done so that we can be sure the system is running properly when it begins generating your paycheck.
Question Mark Icon I went to register but the system said I do not exist; what do I need to do?
There is nothing else you can do at this point. The payroll department is working diligently to add the new records. Please continue checking as new records are added daily.
Question Mark Icon Who is supposed to be using the Time Stamp icon?
The time stamp method of recording time is designated for employees with the classification "Non-Benefited" Bi-Weekly. This group includes student assistants, work study, casual labor, and part-time staff. Employees classified as Benefited Bi-Weekly will be recording their time in the ADP system much like they do now on their time sheets; it is just going to be electronic.
