I Caught You Caring

This Year's ICYC Recipients

I caught you caring emblem

The “I Caught You Caring” program was developed in 2004 as part of the Partners for Campus Excellence initiative. The program was developed to acknowledge those individuals who provide exceptional service. As one member of the implementation committee states, the goal is “to encourage and reward employees who go out of their way to make that personal connection with the people they are here to help.”

Cards, which are located throughout campus, are used to denote the act and the employee being recognized. Anyone can complete a card and all university employees are eligible to receive recognition. Cards are sent through Campus Mail to Employee and Organizational Development where cards are processed and documented in a person's personnel file. Card are then sent to the employees’ supervisor who presents the card in a meaningful manner to the employee. First time recipients receive a special lapel pin.
