Space Management Council

Description

Space planning involves the analysis of current space utilization, the determination of space requirements for expanding and new programs, and the creation of solutions to meet evolving space needs. Space Management Council provides a forum for the discussion and approval of individual space requests, campus-wide space plans, plans for new space, policies and procedures regulating the use of facilities, and other critical space planning issues that require policy level deliberation. Through application of planning scenarios, this council evaluates requests, consider alternatives, prioritize needs, and make recommendations to ensure the optimum use of facilities. This includes:

  • Modifications/renovations of existing space
  • Relocation from one space to another
  • New construction of space
  • Determination of physical infrastructure needs
