Robert DeLong, Director of Environmental and Occupational Safety has over 20 years experience in the Construction and Maintenance Field. He attended San Diego City College and is certified in Construction Management and Hospital Safety. He served a four year apprenticeship in the art of Cabinet Making, obtaining Journeyman status. Mr. DeLong is a past member of the Georgia Hospital Engineers Association and the American Hospital Association for Plant Operations Directors and Safety Officers.

Meredith Lancaster, Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, has over ten years experience in the environmental industry. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. Soon after, she began working with a local environmental firm, focusing on regulatory compliance and waste management. She has completed training programs such as a 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations Course (as well as yearly 8 hour refreshers), Hazard Communication, Confined Space Entry, and Hazardous Materials Transportation.

Cathi Storey, Administrative Secretary to the Director of Environmental and Occupational Safety. She attended and has worked at the University for the past seven years. Cathi worked in Human Resources, Financial Services, and the office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration. Cathi graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the College of Fine Arts.

Barry Futch, Exterminator/Safety Technician. Barry transferred into the Environmental & Occupational Safety Department from Plant Operations. His new duties will include numerous safety related duties such as building safety inspections, emergency phone inspections, elevator inspections and fire extinguisher inspections as well as pesticide applications for which he is a certified operator.
