Who qualifies to be a Student Assistant?

The following students are eligible:

  • Students who have accumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
  • Students who are attending Valdosta State University (VSU)
  • Students who are enrolled for 6 credit hours or more
  • Students who are completing VSU degree requirements

Where do I apply and find a job?

The Student Employment Management System (SEMS) allows students to and manage on-campus jobs listings online.

What is an “Employment Packet”?

This packet includes all the necessary hiring and payroll forms, and may be retrieved at the Student Employment Office once a job is obtained. If you need an additional copy of any sheet, contact the Student Employment Office.

While we have numerous on-campus employment opportunities, jobs are competitive, and you will have to demonstrate to the supervisor that you are the best candidate for the job.
