Who qualifies to be a Student Assistant?
The following students are eligible:
- Students who have accumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
- Students who are attending Valdosta State University (VSU)
- Students who are enrolled for 6 credit hours or more
- Students who are completing VSU degree requirements
Where do I apply and find a job?
The Student Employment Management System (SEMS) allows students to and manage on-campus jobs listings online.

What are the policies and procedures for student assistants?
What is an “Employment Packet”?
This packet includes all the necessary hiring and payroll forms, and may be retrieved at the Student Employment Office once a job is obtained. If you need an additional copy of any sheet, contact the Student Employment Office.

While we have numerous on-campus employment opportunities, jobs are competitive, and you will have to demonstrate to the supervisor that you are the best candidate for the job.
