Guidance Resources Online is a comprehensive, interactive service that provides expert content and unique tools to assist you in every aspect of your life, all in a secure, easy-to-use, personalized environment. Services include:

Ability Assist a program of GRO offers guidance, information and helpful tools on a wide range of topics including financial, legal and relationships. Ability Assist provides the solutions and tools to assist you with your life. Tools that can be found on this site include:

  1. Articles. Expert-written articles cover a variety of topics to address your life issues, concerns and needs.
  2. Self-assessment questionnaires. Assessments help you learn more about yourself. After each quiz, you will be provided with a summary and resources to guide you towards self-improvement.
  3. Videos and Audio Programs. Our in-house legal, financial and wellness experts share their expertise through these short, informational video and audio programs.
  4. Calculators. Calculators help you determine everything from where your time goes to how much you can afford to spend on a house.
  5. Service searches. Located under the heading, I'm Looking For:, click to find a provider, a lawyer or even an appropriate elder care facility through our easy to use searches.

When you visit www.guidanceresources.com as a first-time user, you will be asked to provide the following information on the profile page:

  • Company/Organization ID: HLF902
  • Create your own confidential User Name and Password
  • At the bottom of the Personalization page and enter the Company name: abili.

Ability Assist includes up to five face-to-face confidential sessions (or equivalent professional time) per year with a counselor, financial planner and/or legal advisor, or split among the three types of services. The five sessions per year are a combined total for you and your family. You can access emotional and work-life counseling for a wide range of topics, such as stress, family or marital conflicts, major life changes, depression, effective parenting, chronic illness, and child and elder care. You can get help for legal concerns including buying a home, divorce, or adoption. Financial planning is available to you for retirement planning, budgets, saving for college, debt, and more.
