International Student Employee Information

Student Employment Services - Langdale Hall (Student Employment Services)
2. What becomes of my paycheck if I miss picking it up during breaks or quit school and leave?
Paychecks are available for pick-up by employees in Financial Service, University Center Entrance #5. If you wish to receive your check via US Postal Service, you must provide a self addressed stamped envelope to the Payroll Department.
3. Where is my paycheck?
Here are a couple of reasons you may not have a paycheck in the current run:

These problems are the most frequent we have experienced.
4. What measures can I take as a student to help guarantee myself a check on payday?
1st - Copy timecards before submitting them to Student Payroll Services
2nd - Turn in your timecard early. Don't wait until the last day. Corrections can be made before payday.

5. Why aren't pay advices printed and mailed?
"Governor Sonny Purdue and Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. have stated that increasing state government efficiency is one of their primary objectives. In anticipation of the mandatory use of Employee Self Service by all employees of the university system, effective January 1, 2008, Valdosta State University will no longer print payroll advices for employees on Direct Deposit or Cash Pay.
Information regarding your pay can be found on the Employee Self Service Menu. Remember you can click on Employee Self Service from the VSU main page. Take a few minutes now and log onto the system. Review your benefit information and your contact information. The VSU deadline date for all employees to have accessed and acquired a password for Employee Self Service is December 31, 2007.
For those of you who already have a PeopleSoft log-in and password, please continue to use that same log-in and password for Employee Self Service."
