Week of May 16  - "I Caught You Caring"
Angie Steele

"She is so friendly and kind. I can always expect a cheerful greeting from her every time I come to the Palms Dining Center". These words describe a recipient of SIX "I Caught You Caring" awards over a period of one year. These words describe Angie Steele, a food service provider at the university student dining hall.

Angie Steele

Interim Vice President Jim Black recognized Angie's excellent service to our campus community by pinning her with her sixth red star during the COSA annual staff luncheon. "Let me tell you how Angie was nominated for her sixth "I Caught You Caring Award"", explained Mr. Black. "During the dining hours, she takes time every day to assist a student with restricted mobility. When the student did not appear at Palms for a meal, she became concerned for his welfare. She contacted several individuals on campus who could follow up and check on him. The Compassion in Angie's heart is expressed every day in her relationships with other people. This is the essence of the "I Caught You Caring" recognition program." Congratulations Angie on your SIXTH excellent service recognition.
