Shared Governance
Valdosta State University changes and grows through a process of shared governance that invites all members of the university community play a vital role in determining the institution ’s future. Each of these organizations participate in the life of the university through a variety of committees. This process emphasizes the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its many parts:
The university is also committed to an ongoing process of strategic planning in which all constituencies are invited to participate. Every division and related departments create annual goals and develop action steps to achieve those goals. These plans are entered into a database for the various councils to use.
