Mike Meacham has worked as a social worker or social services since 1974. Presently, he is an Associate Professor of Social Work at VSU. He was selected as a member of the Council on Social Work’s National Commission on Diversity and Social Justice and National Committee on the Disabled and Person with Disabilities. He also is a past member of The American Sociological Association Committee on Disabilities and worked with the ACLU’s “Sticks and Stones” anti discrimination project. He has published and taught courses in Diversity issues since 1983 and was on the committee at VSU that established our Diversity Council. His name is included on the Wall of Justice at the Southern Poverty Law Center.
