Author of the Introduction to the University of Nebraska's reprinting of John DeForest's Civil War novel, Miss Ravenel's Conversion from Secession to Loyalty .

Wrote Instructor's Manual sections for HarperCollins World Reader on The Early Americas, The United States, and Australia/New Zealand. Her publications and papers reflect her interest in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature, film, and American Civil War literature.
