The English Manifesto

The English Department of VSU would like to welcome you to a new connection to where can report daily news, happenings, and events pertaining to the excitement of being an English Major, here at Valdosta State University. To post your news on the new web page of the English Dept, please e-mail robsmith@valdosta.edu to let your event be seen. In order to post your information, please be aware that before the news is put to paper, approval will be sought by the highest power of the department. So no foul language, pictures, or announcements will be made so .... beware!

Regular Registration: Aug 11 - Aug 19

First Class: August 15

Late Drop/Add: August 19

Mid-Term: October 6

FALL BREAK: October 24 & 25

Last Class: December 5

Exam Prep: December 6

Finals: December 7 - 9

 

2011 Events

***Turn your hobby into a career. Those notes you write to yourself, friends, or family could turn into an article for the campus paper. Think about a minor in Creative Writing or Journalism, from the English Department. Come talk to one of our professors for further information.***

ENGLISH MAJORS ... Your advising schedule will begin on Monday, October 3rd so please make sure to come by West Hall 207 in order to get your time slot selected.

Sign up for Senior Seminar 4900 on October 12.

Fall Break will be from October 24 to October 25.

Registration for Spring 2012 will then begin on October 31.
