eCore Proctored Exam Information
Ecore students are REQUIRED to take one or two proctored exams per course.
These exams must be administered at an approved testing site according to the time frame provided in your eCore course syllabus. The VSU Office of Testing is an approved eCore testing site and will administer eCore midterms and finals for those students wishing to test there (see below for more details).
Please review the University System of Georgia's eCore Exams and Testing webpage for information on:
(1) student instructions, (2) approved test sites, (3) the exam request form,
(4) faculty instructions, (5) proctors, (6) how to contact the eCore Testing Coordinator, and (7) academic honesty.
Steps to schedule an eCore exam:
As soon as your eCore course starts
Identify which proctored exams (midterm, final or both) your class requires.
Next, identify an approved testing site and schedule your appointment
Within the timeframe specified in your eCore course syllabus and based on available dates and times at the approved testing site you selected, choose a testing day and time for your exam. Please ask the testing site to verify the fee associated with taking an eCore proctored exam and how and when payment should be made. Be sure to also tell the testing site: (1) your name, (2) that you want to schedule an eCore proctored exam, (3) the name of your eCore class and instructor, and (4) the specified date range for your proctored exam.
- If you wish to take your test at VSU, call the Office of Testing (229-245-3878) to schedule an appointment.

Next, complete the Exam Request Form
At LEAST 3 weeks before your scheduled exam day and once you have confirmed your appointment with an approved testing site, complete the REQUIRED online proctored examination request form. This form will be submitted to the eCore Administrative Services Office and will let them know that you have an appointment with a testing site and that your exam should be released to that location. Without this form, eCore Administrative Services will not know who to release your exam to, which will prevent you from completing your proctored exam. Please review the guidelines for submitting this form as you will be charged a late fee if it is completed late. (This late fee is payable by credit card; it is not a fee a testing site collects.) If this form is NOT submitted at least 15 days prior to your scheduled exam date, your exam will not be available at the testing site and you will receive a ZERO for the exam.
Finally, report to your scheduled testing site for your appointment
Be sure to verify the date and time with your testing site beforehand. On the day of your appointment, have your photo ID, testing fee (if not paid previously), and any additional materials requested by the testing site you selected.
