Welcome to the VSU eCore® web site. The eCore® are core curriculum classes taught via GeorgiaVIEW and are designed for students who need the flexibility and convenience of online learning. Core classes are typically those classes required during the first two years of a college degree. Since not all core curriculum classes will be available as eCore, you may need to take some core classes in a traditional classroom setting.
Starting Fall 2009, eCore Registration has CHANGED.
Please see our registration page for details.
Georgia's Core Online Use this link to go to the eCore web page maintained by the University System of Georgia, especially for eCore students. This page has the most up to date information on class schedules, eCore calendar, and many other resources.
Survival Guide Use this link if you are new to eCore or want to find out if eCore is right for you.
Core Curriculum View a layout of core curriculum requirements to assist you in planning how to best use eCore to complete the first two years of college.
Feedback Please take time to complete this brief survey - we want to know your impressions of eCore. Your responses will be kept confidential and will help us improve our efforts, therefore benefiting you and other students.
For eCore assistance - please contact the Valdosta State University Distance Learning office. Our eCore team can be reached by phone, 229-245-6490, or by using the Contact Us form.
Username & Password change:
USERNAMES: Effective Spring 2009, eCore usernames will no longer be ecoreXXXXXX. Rather, the username for ALL eCore students will now be your VSU email address. (For example, astudent@valdosta.edu).
PASSWORDS: Default passwords for new-to-eCore students will be the student’s birthday (example: student was born on February 15, 1987 – default password would be 02151987). When you log into VISTA for the first time, you will be required to change the password to something only YOU know. You can do this without having to contact the Online Support Center.
