JSecuredoor error
Description:
When running the Wimba Setup Wizard WimbaMedia plugin files are downloaded to your computer. These Files are downloaded to a specific directory on your computer. If you encounter a JSecuredoor error while using Wimba then the most likely cause is that one or more steps failed during the initial download process.
Solution:
Windows Instructions:
A) Ensure all files and folders are being shown.
- Select/Click the "Start" button
- Click “Control Panel”
- Select “Folder Options” (You may have to choose “Classic View” on the left-hand side)
- Click the “View” Tab
- Locate and check “Show Hidden Files and Folders”
B) Delete the JSecureDoor Folder in Windows Explorer (see below).
1. Click Start
2. Select Computer
3. Navigate to the following location:
(XP) C:\Documents and Settings\[User_Account]\Application Data\HorizonWimba\JSecureDoor
(Vista) C:\Users\[User_Account]\AppData\Local OR LocalLow\HorizonWimba
(Windows 7) C:\Users\[User_Account]\AppData\Roaming\HorizonWimba
OR
C:\Users\[User_Account]\AppData\Local OR LocalLow\HorizonWimba
4. Right click the JSecureDoor Folder
5. Select Delete
C) Reinstall the WimbaMedia Plugin
1. Open Internet Explorer or Firefox
2. Run the Wimba Classroom Setup Wizard again to reinstall WimbaMedia
Mac OS X Instructions:
A) Delete the JSecureDoor Folder in Finder (see below).
- Open Finder
- Go to the Harddrive on which your OS is mounted
- Navigate to the following folder:
/Users/[Your Login]/Library/Application Support/HorizonWimba/
- Delete the HorizonWimba directory by either right clicking and selecting "Move to Trash" or by dragging the entire HorizonWimba directory to the Trash Can.
B) Reinstall the WimbaMedia Plugin
- Open Safari or Firefox
- Run the Wimba Classroom Setup Wizard again to reinstall WimbaMedia
