Vista Visions: Mike Rogers
This session provides a wrap-up and discussion of new enhancements for teaching and learning with Vista. Mike Rodgers, Associate Director for Instructional Design and Development for USG Advance Learning Technologies, will share ALT experiences and support for HorizonLive,
Podcasting, and software tools that have been developed for faculty use.
A closing Vista VIEW panel will take discussion and audience Q&A on the status and vision for Vista Implementation at VSU. Panel members include Sheri Gravett, VSU Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs; Joe Newton, Director of Information Technology; Beatriz Potter, VSU Vista Support; Jon Sizemore, Assistant Director for Distance Learning; and Mike Rodgers, USG Advanced LearningTechnologies.

Biography |
Dr. Rogers has been involved in the field of instructional design since 1973 with experience in such varied environments as the military, education, small business and large corporations. He received his BA and MA from Auburn University and his doctorate from Georgia State University.
Dr. Rogers has worked for the Board of Regents since 1999 with direct involvement in the collaborative development of e-learning programs and courses for eCore, the electronic core curriculum, as well as the WebBSIT, WebBAS and WebMBA online degree programs. Through these development efforts and prior experience, he has acquired a high level of expertise in collaborative team development organization and e-learning course design and pedagogy.
