Submission Guidelines

Concurrent Sessions: Presentations

Presentation time: 45 minutes
(Hands on may request a double session - afternoon sessions only)
Submission proposal length: 1 page (150 - 250 words) 
AV equipment provided: Projector, Internet, VCR, DVD
You are encouraged to provide your own laptop

The proposal should clearly indicate:
Title (can be a working title)
Names and institutional affiliation(s) of all presenters
Desired presentation format (classroom, computer lab, distance learning lab, etc.)
A/V equipment requested

Abstract details:
General description
Major points
Context or motivation for development of your topic
What the audience will gain from attending the session

You will need to provide your own laptop

Format description:
A Panel, consisting of 3 - 5 people (including the chair), presents their views on a common theme, issue, or question, and engage in discussion with the audience. Panels must include the audience, allowing opportunities for participants to engage in discussions about pertinent topics from a variety of viewpoints. Thus, the panelists should take no more than 30 of the total 45 minutes to address the topic, and involve the audience through a discussion and series of questions and answers.
Panel selection will be based on the importance, focus and timeliness of the topic, as well as the potential for informative discussion.

The proposal should clearly indicate:
Title (can be a working title)
Names of all panelists and institutional affiliation(s)
A/V equipment needed

Abstract details:
Description including perspectives on and experience with the topic
Major points or questions to be addressed
What information the audience would gain from attendance

Posters & e-Posters

Submission proposal length: 1 page (150 - 250 words)

Poster Format:
Posters should be mounted on a display board suitable for presentation on a tabletop or easel.

Format description:
This is an informal show and share event in open exhibition-style, with a circulating audience. Show and share sessions enable presenters to informally demonstrate and discuss their classroom or online methods and projects, to gain feedback and to establish contact with others. Poster presenters are asked to be present at their posters for the session 6 PM to 7 PM, Thursday, February 18th. Posters will remain on display for the full conference session, Friday, February 19th.

Computer access, Internet connection, and power WILL NOT be provided for the Poster Session. Poster presenters may use their own laptop computers if desired.

Form of presentation (poster, demonstration, computer-based demo, etc.)
