Hub Social - Technology Showcase

This year the HUB Social will serve as the kick-off and first session of the VSU Online Lifeline Technology Conference. Along with time for networking with colleagues, the social will host the Poster Session from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Back by popular request will be interactive technologies for you to test out and explore. The Crescent is located directly across the street from the conference center.

The HUB social is on Thursday, February 18, 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crescent Auditorium. Please circle the day and plan to join your VSU colleagues at this event.

We will congregate at The Crescent Auditorium (located on Patterson Street beside the Garden Club). Hors d'oeuvre buffet and drinks will be available.

Parking is available behind the Garden Club and in the VSU Continuing Ed parking lot across the street.

Crescent Garden Center

The Crescent
Built in 1897-1899, this residence was the former home of U.S. Sen. William S. West. The Neoclassical style of this home epitomizes the grandeur visitors associate with the South. "The Crescent" derives its name from the semicircular portico supported by 13 Doric columns. It was saved from destruction and preserved by the Garden Club of Valdosta in 1951 and is now the Garden Center. The Crescent was placed on the National Register of Historical Places on Jan. 8, 1980.
