Valdosta State University offers a variety of distance learning programs via online courses and IP video conferencing. The eLearning staff stands ready to assist students, faculty and staff with all types of distance delivery.

BlazeVIEW (Blackboard Vista 8) Course Management System
VSU uses BlazeVIEW to provide the online learning environment for many distance learning courses. BlazeVIEW supported courses range from web enhanced courses where traditional face to face instruction is supplemented with web features such as syllabi or lecture notes, to courses that are taught completely online with no on-campus attendance requirements.

 

New Second Life at VSU

We are pleased to announce the creation of the VSU Second Life Island. Second Life is a virtual world accessible on the Internet through a viewer. instructors and students can interact with each other and the environment in a way that gives you a sense of actually being there. Online Courses and eTuition

The decision to take an online course where more than 95% of instruction time occurs via the Internet will affect your tuition rate. These courses have a different tuition rate known as eTuition.
