Mission Statement
The Council on Undergraduate Research at the College of Arts & Sciences, Valdosta State University, seeks to engage students from all disciplines within the college in meaningful, independent and supervised research experiences. Such experiences include discussion groups, field and laboratory activities, technological activities and archival research. The Council also provides a forum for faculty in Arts and Sciences to foster undergraduate research in their own disciplines and gain more knowledge of undergraduate research in other fields. The Council on Undergraduate Research conducts a yearly symposium in the spring semester, so that the entire Valdosta State University community can learn from outstanding undergraduate research.
