Undergraduate Coordinator Curriculum Vita
| I came to Valdosta State in 1996 as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. I teach in all areas of the Criminal Justice program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I assisted in the development of the Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree program and am currently the Graduate Coordinator. In addition, I have served as the Criminal Justice Internship Coordinator since 1998. I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2000 and have been instrumental in the development of the Criminal Justice degree program at Kings Bay Naval Base. During the past two years, I have been working to develop new undergraduate and graduate courses, having designed a Crime Prevention course and a Victimology course at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and a Sex Crimes course at the undergraduate level. I have published numerous articles in Criminal Justice journals and several textbook chapters and in 2002 published my first book titled Policing and Crime Prevention. I am also active in national Criminal Justice associations. |
