Q. Who Can Use The Center?
A. The Counseling Center offers a variety of services to students, faculty, and staff of VSU. All services are provided free of charge.
Q. When Is The Center Open?
A. Our hours are 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Friday
Q. Do I Need an Appointment To See A Counselor?
A. Usually counseling sessions are scheduled by appointment. You can call 333-5940 or come by the Center to set up a time.
Q. What If I Need To Speak With A Counselor NOW?
A. Counselors are available to assist with crisis situations, so we will make room to see you as soon as possible. If your concern is urgent and you feel you need to be seen immediately, please let us know when you talk with us so that we can make arrangements to accommodate your needs. After business hours a counselor can be reached through the University Police (259-5555) or your Resident Hall Director.
Q. What kinds of issues are appropriate for counseling?
A. Any issues that cause you concern are appropriate to bring to counseling.
Q. Is there a fee or charge?
A. All services are provided free of charge.
